An Afternoon with Amy Jones, CEO of the Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center
The Wellesley Club of Dallas is excited to host Amy Jones, CEO of the Dallas Area Rape Crisis Center (DARCC) for a talk about the culture of sexual violence and DARCC's mission and services. Amy Jones is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, has worked extensively with survivors of interpersonal violence and conducts trainings nationally on issues related to interpersonal violence. She has acted as a Therapist, Advocate, Director of Clinical Services and interim Executive Director with the Turning Point Rape Crisis Center of Collin County; served as the Program Manager for the Salvation Army’s Domestic Violence Program and later in the role of Senior Director of Programs and Client Services at Genesis Women’s Shelter and Support in Dallas, Texas. In her role at Genesis, Amy was responsible for directing and developing all programming and client services. She recently joined the staff of DARCC as CEO.
DARCC’s comprehensive program includes counseling, crisis intervention and advocacy for those whose lives have been affected by sexual violence. DARCC is also committed to social change through prevention, education and outreach programs to the community. For more information, visit DARCC's website.
